Peepli bajao

Peepli live has done to journalists that not a single movie has been able to do. The electronic media has been shown its aukaat truly and audaciously. The scene where the reporter, based on a real life journalist of a same name, goes on to classify the texture and colour of tatti (excrement) is the true depiction of the level of journalism being practiced in the electronic media.
A refreshing movie that opens the eyes of a viewer regarding how everything is becoming driven by these frivolous channels who have their faith in the three masterstrokes to gain the TRPs, bhoot, bhabhoot and ch**t.
Time that the media focuses on real issues and not those which get it the eyeballs. Reporting a genuine story once in a while hasn't hurt anyone.

Kashmir

The Indian government seems to have lost the plot as far as Kashmir is concerned. The government has been unable to rein in the separatists and put a stop to stone pelting. And the foreign media has gotten into the act by trying to sell the protests as Indian intifada.
It is time that the government takes a look at its policies, reviews them. If it doesn't want to review the Kashmir policy then it should have the guts to stand by what it believes in. Don't make a fool out of yourselves and the country. Act like China or Israel. These are the two countries we need to follow as examples.
