fixing journos

The shining names in journalistic fraternity had egg on their faces. The role models of several generations have revealed their true faces.
It is a matter of concern now that when will these people stand up and apologise. They had shut up bloggers before but can they silence their own fraternity. And mind it that it is not just professional jealously that is keeping the Radia stories growing against journalists. Maybe it is time that Vir and Barkha, along with their other fraternity brethren, are questioned by the investigative agencies to bring out the truth.

Biased Indian media

The Indian media is an elitist and biased non-organism. More so the English print media. Its vulgarity was on full display today. The two leading dailies didn't deserve it fitting to write properly on last night's incident of multi-storeyed house collapse in east Delhi.
Had this incident happened in south Delhi they would have gone to town about it. But the two masters of the Delhi print media market didn't think that migrant labourers living in squalor deserve proper treatment.
No surprise that western countries still treat us as sub humans when we aren't treating each other with the respect we deserve.

Wrong attribution Doordarshan style

Doordarshan may be the national broadcaster but it has been facing a severe crisis of credibility over the past several years. The national broadcaster has been facing several controversies including allegations of corruption in the Commonwealth Games telecast rights allocation deal.
When it comes to broadcast of important national and international its presenters have repeatedly proven to be out of touch with the present, the past as well as the culture of the country. Though they continue to attribute several things to India's rich cultural heritage.
A presenter during the live telecast of President Obama's visit to national capital attributed the famous couplet "kaun jaye Zauq ye dilli ki galiyan chod kar" to Ghalib rather than its original writer Zauq. The presenters on the national broadcaster should try and prepare a script if they want to quote or attribute something from our rich cultural heritage, rather than attributing it to the wrong person.
This is the worst form of beizzati that a poet can expect.

Obama mania

Obama Obama everywhere....
Does he deserve this much coverage in the Indian media? No he doesn't. He should not be guven this much importance as he is not that important for us. He wants our business more than we need his. He doesn't offer anything to us rather he has asked for sops from India.
It is time that we focussed on solving our own problems rather than asking the US to come and solve them for us. There is no need for his referring to the K word as we are better off without him.
When we have already stated that it is a bilateral issue why do we want his interference.
Can't we just make up our minds....
