India vs China debate

The political class has of late tried to give a new perspective to the India-China rivalry. The politicians are busy convincing us that the Chinese nation is able to go through this phenomenal growth and expansion because it is an autocratic nation. And they claim that we aren't as India is bestowed with democracy. This is a bit too much for hiding their inefficiency over the past few decades. I hope that they could come up with better excuses.
